Information Security Management According to TISAX®

In 2017, the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) defined the so-called TISAX® standard for information security. Since then, most suppliers and manufacturers have required this certification from their business partners.
TISAX® is an audit procedure for European automotive manufacturers and suppliers, operated by the ENX Association (European Network Exchange Association).
It is the European counterpart to the AIAG-TPISR process used in the United States. TISAX® is based on the key aspects of the ISO/IEC 27001 standard and serves as a framework for a uniform, standardized approach to establishing information security systems. The goal of the procedure is to define security measures applicable across the automotive industry in order to establish a uniform information security standard.
Based on the questionnaire from the VDA (German Association of the Automotive Industry), the effectiveness of technical and organizational information security measures is assessed using defined controls. For the assessment to be successful, these measures must demonstrate a certain level of maturity.
