What are the functions of a Critical Incident Reporting System (CIRS)?

A CIRS is an anonymous and non-punitive reporting system for critical incidents, near misses, and risks

A customizable dashboard for analyzing critical incidents: Categories, status, frequency, and trends can be flexibly filtered and visualized. This provides managers with transparent insights at all times to improve safety and quality.

Anonymous reporting of events with customizable input fields. The user interface is available in multiple languages—reports and comments are automatically translated into the selected language as needed.

Centralized case management with a hierarchical system of permissions and roles to ensure data protection compliance. Cases can be filtered and prioritized, including automatic due dates and reminders. Closed reports are archived, documented, and used as a basis for learning.

Yes. Although the module was designed as an integral part of the antares RiMIS® risk management software, it can also be used as a standalone module—either on-premises or cloud-based.

Yes. The standard antares RiMIS® product already includes interfaces for tracking and evaluating violations.

Yes; providing personal data, such as an email address or domain, is not required. Communication can take place directly within CIRS between the report handler and an internal or external reporter.

Yes, the application can also be activated outside the organization. Access is provided via an external server or cloud access.

Our system uses state-of-the-art security technologies to protect the identity of whistleblowers. Reports are always transmitted in such a way that no conclusions can be drawn about the sender. It is not necessary to invite potential whistleblowers to use the system, as the solution is centrally integrated into your infrastructure.

Following an initial consultation and an analysis of your needs, we will customize the system to meet your requirements within 3–4 weeks and implement it in your organization.

The system complies with all provisions of the Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG) as well as EU Directive 2019/1937. It offers you a legally compliant solution for handling reports and protects your company from legal risks and reputational damage.
