Our history includes the most important milestones in our history, such as the market launch of our opportunity and risk management software antares RiMIS® in 2002, our first 100 customers with more than 20,000 users or the extensions of the management board in 2011 as well as other exciting highlights.

21 November 1994
Foundation of antares Informations-Systeme GmbH as a self-financed and 100 % private company.
- 1995
Start of the partnership with Longview
Strategic partnership with arcplan Information Services GmbH, now known as Longview Europe GmbH. Development starts with inSight® under the motto "The new view of things".
- 1998
Market launch of antares analyzer
Our analysis and reporting classic antares analyzer is launched, at that time still under the name CIM-OLAP. It is the first available standard application for business intelligence. "From start to finish in 5 days" is our promise to the customer.

50 customers
antares now serves 50 satisfied customers in the SME and large enterprise sectors from the DACH region.
- 2001
Market launch of antares planner
After antares analyzer, our planning software antares planner made its debut on the market in 2002 and now rounds off our solutions in the field of BI. At that time, antares planner was still called CIM-PLAN.
- 2002
Market launch of antares RiMIS®
This year, we also enter the market in the field of risk and opportunity management. Thus, our software solution antares RiMIS® and the second business area (GRC - governance, risk management & compliance) are created at antares.
- 2003
New company headquarters
Shortly before the first round anniversary, we move to Geislingen an der Steige, the current headquarters of antares Informations-Systeme GmbH. The new premises make room for further growth.
- 2004
antares turns 10
We are celebrating our birthday - 10 years of software development under the motto "Data. Information. Knowledge".
- 2005
Web capability
All antares solutions are now 100% web-enabled. We are thus following the trend towards the use of web-based software applications.
- 2007
100 customers
antares now counts 100 well-known companies among its customers. There are now around 20,000 users who rely on antares software solutions for their daily decision-making.
- 2008
Market launch of antares BSC
From 2008, CIM-BSC - now known as antares BSC - will be a further addition to the Business Intelligence solution area.
- 2011
Reinforcement in the management
In addition to founder Jochen Brühl, 3 other longstanding employees now control the fortunes of antares. Jürgen Günther, Christian Maier and Daniel Simnacher become managing partners.
- 2014
Market launch of antares RiMIS® Compliance and antares RiMIS® ICS
With the development of the Compliance and ICS (internal control system) solution modules, we are expanding our product portfolio in the area of GRC.
- 2015
Conversion to the HTML5 standard
In 2015, a technology modernisation takes place across all software applications. In a period of less than a year, all solution modules will be converted to HTML5 technology.
- 2016
300 customers
antares welcomes its 300th customer. Almost 45,000 users around the globe use antares software solutions.
- 2017
Start of development of antares RiMIS® ISMS and antares RiMIS® DPMS
Start of development for the product areas of information security and data protection.
- 2018
Predictive solutions
Our latest development project is called "Predictive solutions".
- 2019
25 years antares
Under the slogan "People. Software. Knowledge", antares celebrates its 25th birthday on 21 November.

To another 25 years
We do not yet know exactly what the world around us will be like in 2044, what we will encounter on our journey there, what we may experience and get to know, and what new challenges we will all face.
